About
Experimental Indie Rock
Growing up, TJ’s family always had a passion for music. Following his brother into School of Rock (SoR) in Vienna, VA, TJ started his musical career as a talented drummer there, and met Robbie while interning at the Summer Camp in June 2023. The two became friends just as TJ was expanding into the Bass. As TJ started HS that Fall, he met Vera and they started The Faces with just the two of them covering all the parts. Later on they cycled through a couple different drummers. In the course of the SoR Autumn 2023 season, TJ met Raf and was impressed by his sick guitar skills, asking him to join the band in early 2024. By the end of the school year, as their drummer was preparing to leave for college, the band was on the lookout for a replacement and were impressed by Robbie’s skills, asking him to join in June.
Even with their young age, they are remarkably committed and disciplined, recording their own 3-song EP in June 2024 at their garage studio in Fairfax, VA and distributing it on a few music streaming platforms.
After the departure of Vera, the band released their latest album in July 2025, American Disaster Project under a new name, Dissonant Innocence. Under this name, they plan to explore all sorts of genres and experimentations to build a brand on their unique approach to music.
